Natural Fabrics

Moleskine, rough cottons and boiled wool, Velvet and English Tweed. Tear-proof canvas, Light cottons, Linen and Hemp. Natural colours in the entire range of greens and ochre. Pure cotton linings, known as “sweeper canvas”.

Comfortable Fit

Gussets on the back of the jacket at shoulder height, for freedom and comfort. Typical Maremma front pockets, with the reinforced tip facing upwards back-game pocket, “the thief”, matching both front pockets.

Sartorial Artisanal Details

Buttons in vegetable resin with a horn effect, or in corozo with a cartridge base effect or transparent with logo. Natural woven cotton labels and pegs as per tradition.

Eco-conscious Packaging

With Cordenons’s Flora paper produced with 30% of wood-free secondary de-inked pulp, 60% of wood-free primary pulp and the 10% of cotton fibres. Completely recyclable and bio-degradable. Pulp bleached using ECF process (Elementary Chlorine Free) 94/62/CE (Heavy Metal Absence)

THE BRIGANTE JACKET

The most typical Maremma jacket

Today used for free time, in the past, with its large pocket that starts from the front and joins with the thief on the back, the "Brigante" jacket is the most typical Maremma jacket and was a particularly comfortable garment both for the brigands who, while fleeing, could carry food and ammunition with them without having their hands full, and for the farmers and guards who used it to carry documents or, more simply, breakfast for the day's work.

THE MATERIAL

Natural fiber fabric

The material used to make the "Brigante" jacket is natural fiber fabric, from moleskin to velvet, to tear-proof canvas for the winter months, to light cottons, linen and hemp for the summer months. The linings are also made of pure cotton, in fact the typical cutil also known as "sweeper canvas" is used, as tradition dictates.

THE FEATURES

Maremma style pocket

The peculiar characteristics of the "Brigante" jacket are the typical Maremma pocket with the tip facing upwards which acts as a reinforcement of the pocket itself. This type of pocket in the front continues throughout the back of the jacket, thus forming a large game bag also known as a thief consisting of a very large bag which then matches both the front pockets.

Another salient feature of the "Brigante" jacket is the so-called gusset on the back of the jacket at shoulder height, which allows greater freedom and comfort in movement.

Then there are the small details consisting of the buttons in vegetable resin with a horn effect, or in corozo with a cartridge base effect or transparent with logo, up to the labels and cotton pegs as per tradition.
